Dr. Joy Buolamwini is a renowned figure in the world of technology, art, and activism. As the founder of the Algorithmic Justice League, she has made significant contributions to the field of AI research. Her book, Unmasking AI: My Mission to Protect What Is Human in a World of Machines, has become a national bestseller. Dr. Joy is a trusted advisor to world leaders on issues related to preventing harm caused by AI technologies.

Her groundbreaking research on facial recognition technologies has reshaped the field of AI auditing, garnering attention in over 40 countries. Her influential paper, “Gender Shades,” is among the most cited peer-reviewed publications on AI ethics.
