Driggs Mortgage Team recently named Friar Tuck’s Barbershop as the “Small Business of the Month” for May. Owned and operated by Kylee Howell, Friar Tuck’s Barbershop has been a staple in the Helper community since opening its doors in 2021. With its renowned “hot towel” treatment and welcoming atmosphere, Howell has quickly gained popularity among locals in the Carbon County Corridor.

Joining forces with Kaylee Muree in late 2023, Howell and Muree have made a significant impact through their community service efforts. Before Muree joined Friar Tuck’s, the duo volunteered at a community event hosted by the Helper Clinic, offering free haircuts to those in need. Their dedication to serving the community was evident as they provided haircut after haircut to individuals waiting in line.

In January of this year, Driggs Mortgage Team initiated the “Small Business of the Month” program to highlight and support local businesses in Carbon County. By recognizing businesses that demonstrate exceptional customer service, community involvement, and initiative, Driggs aims to show appreciation for their contributions to the local community. Selected businesses receive lunch, Driggs swag, and promotion without any cost to them. Driggs promotes the chosen business through radio announcements and social media, providing all necessary resources for the recognition event, including tables, chairs, food, and media coverage.

For the celebration honoring Friar Tuck’s Barbershop as the “Small Business of the Month,” Becky Driggs prepared delicious Cuban sandwiches for the attendees to enjoy. The event was a testament to the appreciation and support Driggs Mortgage Team has for local businesses that make a positive impact in Carbon County.
