Sports Medicine Update: Walter’s status uncertain as Sporting prepares for match against St. Louis | April 20, 2024

Sports Medicine Report is SportingKC.com’s update on the team’s health ahead of upcoming matches, presented by Children’s Mercy Kansas City. The information comes from the league’s official Player Status Report submitted the day before the match.

This weekend, Sporting Kansas City will return to Children’s Mercy Park for a match against cross-state rivals St. Louis. The game is set for Saturday night and is part of an emerging rivalry between the two teams.

Sporting midfielder Remi Walter is questionable for the upcoming match after injuring his ankle in the first half of the previous game against Miami.

In terms of player availability, midfielder Memo Rodriguez and Remi Walter are listed as questionable for Sporting Kansas City. Defender Logan Ndenbe is out due to an ACL injury. For St. Louis, defenders Josh Yaro, midfielder Njabulo Blom, and Eduard Lowen are questionable, while forward Sam Adeniran is listed as unavailable for reasons other than injury.

The kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 PM CT (7:40 PM CT actual kickoff) and will be available to stream in English and Spanish on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
