SSM Health appoints Vice President of Operations in Mid-Missouri

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital-Jefferson City has announced that Justin Morley has been appointed as the new vice president of operations. Morley is taking over the position previously held by Becky Miller, who retired last year. In the past five years, Morley has served as the vice president of operations at the SSM Health System office. During his tenure there, he played a key role in shaping and implementing SSM Health’s Operating Model and was instrumental in establishing the company’s Clinical Recruitment Team, as detailed in a news release.

Morley expressed his passion for hospital operations, mentioning his background in supply chain management. He emphasized the connection between the work done by healthcare professionals and the impact it has on patients and communities. Morley acknowledged the rich history of care provided by St. Mary’s Hospital and the dedicated caregivers who have contributed to the hospital’s reputation for excellence. He expressed gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with exceptional individuals and teams as they strive for continued excellence and a strong presence in the community.

In his new role, Morley will oversee various departments within the hospital, such as the inpatient pharmacy, information technology, safety and security, and other crucial areas. Prior to joining SSM Health, Morley held leadership positions at Intermountain Health in different regions and at the system office, gaining valuable experience that will undoubtedly benefit his new role at St. Mary’s Hospital.
