The Allegheny County Health Department has forced an establishment in Stowe Township to close due to numerous violations. “Cravingz” on Broadway Avenue was found to be operating without a permit and had several health and safety issues. Inspectors discovered that employees preparing food had been smoking, food preparation equipment was heavily soiled, cigarette butts were found in the handwashing station, and the dumpster was overflowing with garbage.

Additionally, the building lacked hot water and had only one restroom for both staff and customers. The establishment will remain closed until further notice and must obtain a permit, address all violations, and submit plans for health and safety improvements before being allowed to reopen.
