Xbox Cloud Gaming has introduced mouse and keyboard support in its preview version for PC. This means that users can now use these accessories to play games like Fornite, Doom 64, or Sea of Thieves through the Xbox cloud service on Edge and Chrome browsers as well as the Xbox app on Windows PC. Previously, players had to use a controller to play these games on PC, but some users prefer the precision and control that a mouse and keyboard provide.

In March 2022, Xbox announced that they were working on developing mouse and keyboard support for their cloud gaming service, and now, two years later, they have implemented this feature. This support is currently only available in preview for users enrolled in the PC Gaming Preview program. Users can now play a selection of titles using a mouse and keyboard instead of a controller, making the gaming experience more flexible and customizable.

The mouse and keyboard support is available for compatible browsers such as Edge and Chrome, as well as the Xbox app on Windows computers. Some of the titles that currently have support for this feature include Fornite, ARK Survival Evolved, Sea of Thieves, and Halo Infinite, among others. Players interested in trying out this feature will need to enable preview functions in their browser and ensure the game stream is in full-screen mode for optimal performance.

While some games may display controller-related UI elements by default, users can seamlessly switch to using a mouse and keyboard by interacting with the game interface. This feature aims to provide a more versatile gaming experience for PC players who prefer using these accessories. If you are a fan of Xbox Cloud Gaming and enjoy playing on PC, this new mouse and keyboard support feature is definitely worth trying out.
