With less than a month until the T20 World Cup 2024 begins, images of India’s cricket team jersey for the tournament have been circulating on social media. The leaked pictures reveal a jersey with tri-colour stripes and a v-shaped neck, along with Adidas stripes on the saffron sleeves. This is not the first time that Team India’s new kit has been ‘leaked’ online, but it is a setback as such releases are typically carried out through official channels.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced the 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup 2024, as well as four reserves who will be traveling with the team. Players like Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, and Yuzvendra Chahal have made a comeback to the Indian team, while others like KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Shubman Gill were left out of the squad. Rinku Singh was notably excluded from the final roster by the BCCI selection committee.

India’s squad for the T20 World Cup consists of three seamers, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Arshdeep Singh, along with four spinners including Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Kuldeep Yadav. Captain Rohit Sharma addressed the decision to include four spinners in the squad while omitting players like Shubman Gill and Rinku Singh during a press conference.

India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2024 includes players such as Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dube, and others. Reserves for the team include Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed, and Avesh Khan.
