The event, organized by the National Association of Young Innovators (ANGI) in collaboration with the Offices of the European Parliament in Italy, brought together stakeholders from the world of business, institutions, and universities to discuss the future of smart cities, sustainable mobility, and the green economy.

Key topics discussed included the European Green Deal, which has been a significant regulatory activity in this legislative term. Ambitious choices have been made in the transport sector, which accounts for a quarter of climate-changing emissions. The importance of participation in upcoming European Parliament votes was emphasized by Carlo Corazza, Director of the European Parliament Offices in Italy.

Attendees also discussed the UN 2030 agenda and the role of investments in building an economy focused on environmental sustainability. Young innovators highlighted the importance of promoting and leveraging new technologies in a sustainable way, and the opportunities presented by the European Green Deal for the country’s ecosystem characterized by youth and innovation.

The event featured a diverse group of speakers, including representatives from the European Parliament, industry experts, sustainability professionals, and academia. The discussions aimed to highlight risks and opportunities, as well as projects and scenarios related to the European Green Deal. The success of the event was attributed to the support of partners and the European Parliament Offices in Italy, according to Gabriele Ferrieri, President of ANGI.
