Students and faculty have been involved in groundbreaking developments such as the first modern web browser, PayPal, YouTube, Siebel Systems, C3 AI, and Yelp, and will continue to pursue innovation in the field.
The focus of the new Siebel School of Computing & Data Science will be on advancing frontiers at the intersections of computing and data science, building on the university’s history of computing innovation. The school is currently pending approval by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees, with a goal of providing new and accessible pathways for students to pursue education in computing.
