Week 3 of the UFL’s inaugural season saw a mix of ratings for the four games played on April 13 and 14. According to Mike Mitchell of SI.com, some performances were good, while others fell short. On Saturday, ESPN attracted an audience of only 534,000 for a thrilling game where D.C. came from behind to beat Arlington. In contrast, the Fox game on Saturday between Memphis and Birmingham drew in 837,000 viewers.

Sunday saw an improvement in ratings with back-to-back games aired on ABC, coinciding with the final round of the Masters tournament. The Houston-Michigan game had an average of 974,000 viewers, despite a low attendance of fewer than 7,000 in person. The St. Louis Battlehawks’ victory over the San Antonio Brahmas attracted 1.023 million viewers.

With seven weeks remaining in the UFL’s regular season, the league will be looking for continued success in ratings similar to those seen on Sunday, rather than the lower numbers from Saturday’s games. The hope is to build on the momentum and keep viewers engaged throughout the rest of the season.
