Advocating for Policy Reform and Child Rights: Improving Pediatric Health Care in Immigration Detention

The FXB Center for Health and Human Rights at Harvard University is hosting a virtual conversation on Thursday, May 2, 2024, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm EDT. The event will take place on Zoom and registration is required to attend. The discussion will focus on the key findings of the report titled “Child Migrants in Family Immigration Detention in the US: An Examination of Current Pediatric Care Standards and Practices”, which was published in January 2024. Speakers will talk about the report’s impact on policy implications, legal challenges, transparency in border security processes, and oversight of child-specific procedures. Following the discussion, there will be a Q&A session for participants.
