Despite the cancellation of BlizzCon, Blizzard will participate in other industry events and conventions, as well as organize global events to celebrate Warcraft’s 30th anniversary. They are committed to maintaining the spirit of celebration and community in these events, even though they are different from BlizzCon. Blizzard will also continue to share news about their game universes through live broadcasts.
BlizzCon was previously canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic and was held in a digital format called Blizzconline. In 2022, Blizzard canceled the online event due to harassment and discrimination issues. However, in November of last year, BlizzCon was held in person again in California, where users were able to play their favorite titles and learn about new features for games like Diablo IV, Overwatch, and Warcraft Rumble.
