Chargers sign Michigan OL Karsen Barnhart as undrafted free agent

The Chargers have been busy in the past few days, drafting two players from head coach Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan team and signing another as an undrafted free agent. Offensive lineman Karsen Barnhart is the latest addition to the team, agreeing to terms after starting 30 games at guard and tackle for the Wolverines. He joins linebacker Junior Colson and wide receiver Cornelius Johnson in making the move from Ann Arbor to Los Angeles.

In addition to the Michigan players, the Chargers have also added quarterback Casey Bauman to their depth chart. Bauman had an impressive season at Augustana, throwing for 2,878 yards and 29 touchdowns. The team has also signed a number of undrafted free agents including Luke Benson from Georgia Tech, Akeem Dent from Florida State, Jaelen Gill from Fresno State, Thomas Harper from Notre Dame, Zach Heins from South Dakota State, Savion Jackson from N.C. State, Jeremiah Jean-Baptiste from Ole Miss, Leon Johnson III from Oklahoma State, Jaylen Johnson from East Carolina, Robert Kennedy from N.C. State, Micheal Mason from Coastal Carolina, Tremon Morris-Brash from UCF, Tyler McLellan from Campbell, Willis Patrick from TCU, Jaylen Phillips from Clemson, Tyler Smith from Western Carolina, Zamari Walton from Ole Miss, Luquay Washington from Central Connecticut, and Bucky Williams from Appalachian State.
