Five years ago, Houston’s Michael Barton first tried axe throwing and he wasn’t very good at it. However, after years of practice, Barton is now preparing to compete at the World Axe Throwing Championships alongside his practice partners from Hurling Hatchets.

Barton, along with Jorge Sanchez and Chris Kendig, have all improved significantly since they first started throwing axes. They are feeling confident about their chances at the upcoming championships in Tulsa. Barton will be competing in both Hatchets and Knives, with the goal of winning it all.

When asked about the secret to throwing an axe with accuracy, Kendig emphasized the importance of hard work, practice, and technique. Barton, on the other hand, believes that the key to being a successful axe thrower is mental strength and staying calm under pressure.

As they head to the World Championships, Barton and his teammates are determined to give it their all and show off the skills they have honed over the years. They are excited for the competition and hope to come out on top.
