ECU Health is currently seeking feedback from community members throughout eastern North Carolina on its Community Health Needs Assessment. This feedback is crucial in helping the health system understand the most important health issues affecting their communities. Conducted every three years, this assessment serves as the foundation for improving and promoting good health in the region.

By directly soliciting feedback from the community, ECU Health can better tailor efforts to promote wellness and address critical health challenges. Community members age 15 and older are encouraged to complete the CHNA survey and provide meaningful feedback on how ECU Health can improve health and well-being in eastern North Carolina. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete and all responses are confidential.

Feedback gathered through the CHNA survey helps ensure that health care needs are being met in the 29 counties served by ECU Health. The survey is open for responses until June 7, 2024. The CHNA process involves collecting and analyzing comprehensive data, including demographic, socioeconomic, and health-related statistics, with the most valuable insights coming directly from community members themselves.

The results of the completed CHNA analysis serve as the basis for prioritizing strategies to meet the community’s health needs, ultimately working towards improving the health and well-being of eastern North Carolina. The survey is available in both English and Spanish and can be accessed through a provided link.
