First Watch has recently introduced new pay-at-the-table technology in partnership with Up ‘n go in their 420 corporate-owned restaurant locations. This innovative technology aims to improve the dining experience for both customers and employees by reducing congestion at the front of the restaurant and saving time during the payment process. Customers can now easily pay their bill using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or a credit card by scanning a QR code on their check, without the need to download an app or create an account.

During a recent week, more than 125,000 First Watch customers opted to use the new pay-at-the-table feature, saving an estimated 1,000 combined customer and employee hours. The technology is seamlessly integrated with First Watch’s NCR Aloha POS system, ensuring a user-friendly and reliable payment flow. Customers have the option to pay their check in full or easily split it with friends or family.

According to Rob Conti, Senior Vice President of Information Technology at First Watch, the benefits of Up ‘n go’s pay-at-the-table technology are undeniable. It not only enhances the dining experience for customers by making the payment process more convenient and efficient but also helps staff be more productive and allows restaurants to serve more customers in less time. Up ‘n go CEO Touradj Barman highlighted that the technology helps guests leave the restaurant feeling satisfied, more likely to recommend the restaurant, and eager to return.

Overall, the introduction of pay-at-the-table technology at First Watch has been well-received by customers and employees alike, with positive feedback on its ease of use and time-saving benefits. The partnership with Up ‘n go demonstrates First Watch’s commitment to enhancing the dining experience through technological innovation.
