The 2023-24 winter high school sports season has come to a close, and it’s time to recognize the standout athletes with the announcement of our Elite All-Star teams. More than 80 athletes from the coverage areas of the Binghamton Press & Sun Bulletin, Elmira Star-Gazette, Corning Leader, and Ithaca Journal have earned Elite accolades.
Selections were made for boys basketball, girls basketball, boys wrestling, boys and girls indoor track & field, boys swimming & diving, and boys and girls bowling. Separate top athletes were chosen for each sport in the Greater Binghamton region and the Corning/Elmira/Ithaca region.
Elite selections were primarily based on voting from coaches, with some input from the sports departments of the papers. However, not all coaches participated in the voting process. Congratulations to all the athletes who have earned this prestigious recognition for their hard work and dedication throughout the season.
