The 2023-24 winter high school sports season has come to a close, and it’s time to recognize the outstanding athletes with the announcement of our Elite All-Star teams. More than 80 athletes from the coverage areas of the Binghamton Press & Sun Bulletin, Elmira Star-Gazette, Corning Leader, and Ithaca Journal have earned Elite accolades. Selections were made for boys basketball, girls basketball, boys wrestling, boys and girls indoor track & field, boys swimming & diving, and boys and girls bowling.
Separate top athletes were chosen for each sport in the Greater Binghamton region and the Corning/Elmira/Ithaca region. Elite selections were primarily based on voting from coaches, with some input from the sports departments of the papers. Not all coaches participated in the voting process.
