This accreditation highlights the importance of vascular testing procedures within the health system as they allow for the early detection of life-threatening heart disorders, strokes, and other diseases.
Cardiovascular diseases are a leading cause of death in the United States, with one American dying every 34 seconds and nearly 800,000 strokes occurring annually. These statistics underscore the need for timely diagnosis and intervention. SGMC Health underwent a rigorous application and review process to earn this accreditation, which involved a detailed self-evaluation and review by a panel of medical experts. This process evaluated both the operational and technical components of the health system, including case studies and final reports.
