Man in Zadar threatens young couple, locks himself in apartment, threatens to activate gas cylinder

The Zadar Police Department has completed the criminal investigation of a 30-year-old man suspected of making threats and coercion against his neighbors. The man allegedly sent serious threats to a 20-year-old woman and man on April 30 in Zadar’s Belafu area. He then locked himself in his apartment and threatened to activate a gas bottle when police arrived.

The police officers swiftly arrested the suspect using coercive means and brought him to the police premises. After completing the investigation, a criminal complaint was filed against the man and he was handed over to the detention unit of the Zadar Police Department.

The suspect’s actions led to a criminal investigation and legal action against him. Despite the serious nature of the offenses, the police were able to quickly apprehend the suspect and prevent any harm from occurring. The case has been turned over to the state attorney’s office for further action.
