Meta has integrated its Meta AI assistant, powered by its new Large Language Model (LLM) Llama 3, into its social networks including Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. This integration adds new capabilities for accessing information on the web without having to switch between applications. The company has also begun testing a new feature called Imagine, which allows users to generate images from text in WhatsApp.

Last year, Meta introduced its chatbot-type assistant based on the Llama 2 model. This technology allows users to access real-time information and interact with natural language across various services and devices, including WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger. Recently, Meta has expanded testing of its Meta AI chatbot to users in India, the United States, and African countries.

With the launch of the new Llama 3 model, Meta has started implementing Meta AI on a global scale across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger. Users can now use the assistant to access information on topics like restaurant recommendations, leisure plans, or study help directly from any of these social networks. Additionally, a web version of the assistant is available for use on computers at meta.ai.

Meta AI allows users to search for information in real-time without switching between applications. For example, users can ask for a cake recipe from within a Messenger chat and receive step-by-step instructions along with a link to the recipe website. The AI assistant can also provide additional information and resources based on the user’s requests.

Another feature of Meta AI is the ability to access the assistant through the feed on social networks. Users can request information related to posts in their feed, such as music recommendations or artist information. The assistant will suggest related queries and allow users to continue the conversation in a chat window.

Meta has also introduced the Imagine feature, which allows users to generate images from text in WhatsApp. This feature shows an image based on the text written in the message bar and can be animated into a GIF. The company promises sharp and high-quality images with helpful prompts for editing.

Overall, Meta AI and its features are being rolled out in English in several countries, and the Imagine feature is currently in beta testing in the United States. The integration of Meta AI across social networks and the addition of new features like Imagine demonstrate Meta’s commitment to enhancing user experience and providing innovative tools for accessing information and generating content.
