In a recent girls high school flag football game at Strider Field in Jamestown, Ella Propheter from Jamestown was able to evade a Sweet Home defender, showcasing her skills on the field. Propheter had a stellar performance during the game, completing 14 out of 16 passes for 147 yards and three touchdowns, as well as rushing for 70 yards. The Jamestown team ultimately secured a win against Sweet Home with a score of 34-9, with Kate Kathman contributing significantly to the victory.

Kathman ran for yardage and caught four passes for 90 yards, two of which resulted in touchdowns, including a 33-yard reception. Overall, the Red & Green team improved to 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the league with this win. Additionally, Kaylee Leeper and Abbee Brandow made notable contributions to the team, with Leeper running 12 times for 37 yards and Brandow catching a 33-yard touchdown pass.

Defensively, Propheter led the team with six flag pulls and a 44-yard interception return for a touchdown. Leeper also had a 29-yard interception return for a touchdown, showcasing the team’s strong defensive capabilities. Kayamara Strudwick, Karlee Rock, and Dainys Cruz also made valuable contributions to the team’s defense with flag pulls and interceptions.

Looking ahead, Jamestown is set to visit West Seneca for another league game on Thursday. The team seems to be in good form and will likely continue their strong performance in the upcoming games.
