The Texans have officially added Kilian Zierer to their international/exempt list. Hailing from Munich, Germany, Zierer did not start playing football until he was 16 years old. Despite his late start, his impressive wingspan of 83 5/8 inches, combined with his 6-foot-7, 304-pound build, caught the attention of college scouts. Zierer received a scholarship to play at the College of the Canyons, where he was ranked as the No.1 JUCO prospect at his position by Rivals. After his time at the College of the Canyons, he transferred to Auburn where he quickly made a name for himself as the starting left tackle for the Tigers in 2022.

In 2023, Zierer signed with the Texans as an undrafted free agent. However, his time with the team was cut short when he suffered an ankle injury and was placed on injured reserve late in training camp. Despite this setback, Zierer’s potential and skill on the field make him a promising addition to the Texans roster. His journey from Germany to playing college football in the US and now with the Texans is a true testament to his dedication and hard work. Fans can expect great things from Zierer as he continues to pursue his football career in the NFL.
