Emergency services in Dessau-Roßlau, Saxony-Anhalt are currently searching for a large boa constrictor in a residential area. Residents are fearful as the dangerous snake is believed to be roaming freely in the area. The only evidence found so far is a two-meter-long snake skin with a red-brown pattern, indicating it may be a king snake.

City officials have been on alert since Sunday, with a large contingent searching for the missing boa constrictor. Despite their efforts, the snake still remains at large. Residents in the area where the skin was found have been questioned, but no one seems to know of anyone illegally keeping a snake in their home.

Speculation has arisen that the snake sighting may have been a prank, as obtaining a real snake skin is not an easy task. Boa constrictors are native to South America and can grow up to three meters long, using their powerful muscles to kill prey by strangling them. To legally keep such an exotic animal, approval from a veterinarian is required in Saxony-Anhalt.

In the meantime, residents are urged to remain cautious and report any sightings of the boa constrictor to authorities. The search for the snake continues as the community remains on edge.
