The Plaza Hotel in New York recently hosted a Guinness World Record-breaking event featuring 353 ballerinas en pointe at the same time. The nonprofit organization Youth America Grand Prix marked their 25th anniversary by having the white tutu-clad ballerinas dance en pointe for a full minute. This event surpassed the previous record set in 2019 with 309 dancers, which included talk show host Kelly Ripa.

The event at the Plaza Hotel was organized by Youth America Grand Prix, which is known for organizing competitions for young dancers. Sergey Gordeev, director of external affairs at YAGP, explained that the goal of the event was to showcase the healing power of dance and how it can bring people together during a time of disconnection. The dancers gathered at the hotel to display their skill and dedication to the art of ballet on a grand scale.

Ballet is an art form that requires immense skill and dedication, and for the ballerinas at the Plaza Hotel event, it was a moment to demonstrate their commitment to their craft. The record-breaking attempt brought together dancers from different backgrounds and areas of expertise, all united by their love for ballet. The event not only set a new record but also highlighted the beauty and power of dance as a form of expression and connection.
