Wagman Construction, Inc., based in York, has been selected as the general contractor for the construction of Downtown Shenandoah, Inc.’s new Center for Education, Business & Arts (CEBA). A groundbreaking ceremony took place on April 18 to mark the beginning of the project.

President of Wagman Construction, Jan Wagner, expressed his excitement for this collaboration with Downtown Shenandoah, Inc. He emphasized the positive impact that the CEBA project will have on the community and the opportunities it will provide for education, business, and the arts.

The CEBA project, designed by Murphy & Dittenhafer Architects of York, will be completed in two phases. Phase one will focus on building the entire structure and the first floor, which will include a Penn State classroom, commercial kitchen, and office space. Phase two will involve constructing the second floor, which will house a multi-purpose event center, a health center, and more office spaces.

The grand opening of CEBA is scheduled for 2025, and it aims to be a space where education, commerce, and creativity intersect to create a thriving community hub. Wagman Construction is committed to bringing this vision to life and contributing to the growth and development of Downtown Shenandoah.
