Cabrera has a batting average of .292, an on-base percentage of .346, and a slugging percentage of .521. He has hit three home runs and driven in 12 runs for the team.
On another note, the Yankees’ ace pitcher Gerrit Cole is continuing to progress in his recovery. Boone mentioned that Cole threw from a distance of 75 feet, which was part of his expected rehabilitation plan. Cole was placed on the 60-day injured list due to right elbow inflammation, making him ineligible to return until at least May 27. However, Cole himself is aiming for June 1 as his target date to resume pitching for the team.
