Apple has surprised with the most complete renewal of its tablet range since 2018 by unveiling its new generation processor, the M4, in the new iPad Pro, which is not yet included in any of its computers. Along with a complete redesign of the top-of-the-line iPads, Apple has also updated its Air model, introducing a 13-inch version for the first time, a size previously reserved for Pro models of Apple’s tablets.

During the online presentation, which was pre-recorded and part of Apple’s event dubbed Let Loose, several executives highlighted the professional video and sound editing capabilities of the new iPad Pro. The company continues its strategy to position its top tablets as a complete alternative to laptops, offering power, portability, and the versatility of a touch screen and haptic pen. Notably, the new iPad Pro features an OLED screen and the powerful M4 processor, not yet available in any laptops or monitors from Apple.

The new M4 chip is said to be up to 1.5 times faster than the previous generation’s M2 chip, making it a potent chip for AI tasks. Apple has also introduced new iPad Air models, featuring the M2 processor and offering 11 and 13-inch options. The iPad Pro starts at 1,199 euros in Spain, while the iPad Air starts at 699 euros. Both models can be reserved online and will be available for purchase in stores starting next week.

In addition to the devices, Apple has also unveiled new accessories like the Pro version of the Apple Pencil with added functionalities and renewed versions of the Magic Keyboard. The company has introduced new video editing programs, Final Cut Pro 2, and music programs, Logic Pro 2, with enhanced AI functions. The focus on innovation and performance continues to drive Apple’s efforts to offer cutting-edge products to its customers.
