Sarah Dumont, a senior at Clemson University from Goose Creek, S.C., is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Packaging Science with a focus on Food and Healthcare Packaging. During her time at Clemson, she has been involved in various organizations such as Tiger Band, Phi Kappa Phi, and the Packaging Science Club. She has also served on the Dean’s Student Advisory Board for the Department of Food, Nutrition, and Packaging Sciences. Dumont has participated in creative inquiries related to zero-waste event planning and sustainable waste management. Her work at Clemson’s Center for Flexible Packaging involved testing films for industry partners and graduate research. Her co-op experience at Burt’s Bees helped her develop skills in sustainable packaging design, and she was awarded the Printpack Sustainability Scholarship in 2023 for her dedication to sustainability.
Ezekiel Guevarra is another outstanding senior at Clemson University majoring in Packaging Science with a minor in Business Administration. Guevarra has demonstrated his hard-working nature by consistently making the Dean’s List and President’s List at Clemson. Throughout his time in the Packaging Science program, he completed co-op rotations and an internship with Sonoco. He also developed a sustainable whey protein powder brand and repackaged pancake mix in a sustainable package for his senior project. Guevarra is a member of the Clemson Packaging Science Club and plans to pursue a Master of Science in Packaging Science under Dr. Duncan Darby.
