This agency, led by artist Bad Bunny, is facing significant discipline from the MLBPA. The situation arose after Rimas agent William Arroyo had his license revoked, and two other employees pending certification will not get their licenses. This leaves the agency with only one certified agent, Michael Velazquez, raising concerns about Rimas’ long-term viability in baseball.
When questioned about signing with Rimas, Acuna Jr. stated that he had not done so yet but indicated it was likely to happen soon. Sources believe that Acuna is not signing with Rimas to be his agent, but rather to handle his marketing and off-field business. The exact reason for Rimas’ MLBPA discipline remains unknown. Acuna, who had his marketing and branding work done by the company Xample, currently has no listed agent at the MLBPA. Previously, Acuna was represented by Peter E. Greenberg and Associates, which was acquired by Rep 1 Baseball in February 2020.
