This Weekend, State Street Hosts Science Event

Science on State Street is Framingham State University’s annual science festival, organized by the Christa McAuliffe Center in collaboration with the MetroWest STEM Education Network. This community-wide event showcases themes relating to planet Earth and explores the ways in which science, technology, engineering, and math support environmental justice, renewable energy, and environmental sustainability.

The event is free and open to residents of all ages, and will take place on Saturday, April 27 from Noon to 3 p.m. at the McAuliffe Center and O’Connor Hall parking lot. Attendees can enjoy interactive exhibits and demonstrations from various organizations, including MIT Lincoln Labs, Boston Scientific, MathWorks, and the U.S. Army DEVCOM Soldier Center.

MIT Lincoln Labs will have a table on building a lightsaber, while Boston Scientific will provide an interactive exhibition on the human body. MathWorks will demonstrate the Power of AI, and the U.S. Army DEVCOM Soldier Center will showcase how STEM professionals contribute to protecting our nation’s soldiers. There will be many other exhibitors as well.
