The World Food Forum will be centered around the theme of ‘Good Food for All, for Today and Tomorrow’. This event is aimed at bringing together people of all ages from across the globe to drive comprehensive, strategic, and large-scale sustainable transformation in agrifood systems. It is a youth-led movement that seeks to revolutionize agrifood systems, recognizing the essential need for good food for everyone on the planet to flourish, despite the mounting pressures on such systems from issues like biodiversity loss, climate change, deforestation, and soil degradation.

With a focus on four key tracks, the event will host a youth assembly to empower and connect young change-makers striving towards sustainable global food systems. The innovation lab will serve as a platform to encourage innovation to combat hunger and revolutionize food systems through global competitions and educational initiatives that promote behavior change. The education track will bring schools and youth groups together to take action, while the culture track will unite young people from around the world to inspire action to end hunger and transform food systems.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN’s (FAO) Youth Initiative is collaborating with a global network of organizations, including the UN World Food Programme’s (WFP) Youth Network, the UN Office of the Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth, and various other entities like the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the International Labour Organization (ILO), and UN Women, among others, to support the Forum. The event is scheduled to take place from 14-18 October 2024 in Roma, Lazio, Italy.
