The Gladstone BraveBots robotics team recently competed in the World competition in Houston, Texas, where they were cheered on by supporters. After excelling in the state competition, the BraveBots earned a spot at the World competition. The team competed on the Johnson Field and had a strong finish, winning their last seven games for an overall record of 8-2. As the number 6 alliance captain, they selected teams from North Carolina and California to compete with.

Unfortunately, the BraveBots lost to the #7 alliance, who ultimately won the championship. The competition spanned three days, with long hours of work from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day. Coach Tim Barron praised the team for their dedication and hard work, especially highlighting the efforts of the seniors who led the team. Despite their departure, Barron expressed optimism for the future of the BraveBots, thanks to a talented group of underclassmen.

Barron also extended gratitude to the team’s mentors, acknowledging their invaluable contributions to the team’s success. The mentors generously donate their time and expertise to help the BraveBots thrive in competitions. The team and Barron recognize the essential role that mentors play in their achievements and express their appreciation for their support.
