In honor of National Doctors’ Day and to recognize the exceptional service of its physicians to the community, UVA Health has donated $10,000 to the Free Clinic of Culpeper. Donna Staton, Chief Operating Officer of UVA Community Health and Chief Operating Officer of UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center, expressed gratitude for the dedicated doctors who serve patients in Culpeper and beyond. The donation serves as a token of appreciation for their tireless efforts.

The Free Clinic of Culpeper, a part of the nonprofit Culpeper Wellness Foundation, provides essential healthcare services to uninsured individuals and those who cannot afford medical care. Along with medical treatment, the clinic collaborates with local partners to offer patients access to other critical services like counseling, transportation assistance, literacy training, employment support, and nutrition counseling. The clinic’s dedicated staff is supported by a team of community volunteers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and office staff.

Situated on the UVA Health Culpeper Medical Center campus, the free clinic benefits from UVA Health’s collaboration by receiving lab work, imaging services, and specialty care for patients in need. Tammy LaGraffe, Director of the Free Clinic of Culpeper, expressed deep gratitude for UVA Health’s ongoing support of the clinic and its patients. She noted that the donation reflects UVA Health’s commitment to the clinic’s mission and their role as steadfast partners in the health and well-being of Culpeper.
